One common feature of all these tombs found
is the existence of hunting processions
represented in pottery (terracotta)
sculptures or hunting scenes reflected in
wall paintings. Clearly, hunting contributed
to the concept of having a good life in the
mind of Tang people: the scenes of hunting
and references to hunting are constantly
repeated in tomb art.

The Mausoleum of Princess Jinxiang
Princess JinXiang, the granddaughter of Li
Yuan (the founder and first emperor of the
Tang dynasty), died in 722 AD. Her mausoleum
was discovered in August 1991 and was
