A desk for the display of a Chinese Zither.

The desk top is a standard mitred mortised and tenoned frame with a floating panel. The legs are joint to the table top using embracing shoulder tenons. The waist is decorated with two elongated begonia motifs. The aprons and spandrels are carved in the shape of geometric motifs of trailing plants. A drawer is housed in the center of the geometric carvings of the front apron.

The back and front legs are strengthened with a humpback stretcher above the hoofs.
