A Vanity Chest (Guan Pi Xiang) with floral painting on the top and the front door panel.
The vanity chest has a flat top that slopes down to the body at the 4 corners resembling the roof top of a traditional Chinese architecture.
The top front edge and the cusped top apron are decorated with a metal plate which joined together with a metal flap. The space within the top lid is for the storage of a bronze mirror. The chest sits on a base which is decorated with a carving of an elongated symbol representing a begonia. The chest has three drawers.
